Body Painted Office Wear

Why is it that when we go and have a walk in a green park with plenty of blue skies and green trees that our mood gets instantly lifted if we are feeling a little tense and stressed? And why is it that nurses wear white as their uniform generally or that some hospital waiting rooms or television waiting rooms where guests of a show wait, are painted green? We may not realize it but color does affect our daily lives weather we like it or not. They act as an invisible force that can influence things to happen. We spend a great deal of our waking hours at work, so it makes sense that the office colors do affect our productivity in a positive way or a negative way. There are things we can do to change our working environment for the better by understanding a few things about how various colors can influence us.

First, there are the four primary colors, red, green, yellow and blue. In a later article, I'll talk about some of the other colors that can affect us especially in an office environment.

Red

Red is the most emotionally charged color of all. It's a very authoritative color. Have you ever noticed why a lot of politicians wear red ties? Red signals dominance and if a person is wearing a red tie especially matched with a black suit, it makes the wearer appear more assertive and dominant. There is a reason why politicians and people who appear in public a lot wear what they wear. If you have to speak infront of others about a subject you are supposed to be an authority on, wear a red tie or for the ladies, perhaps a red business suit as they're considered to be 'power suits'.

Green

Green is a calming color so it's totally opposite to red in its affect on you. It's the most easy color on the eye and the most soothing hence at the moment, it's the most popular decorating color. That's why people sit in a 'green room' in TV studios. Hospitals use green often as a soothing color for patience and people in waiting rooms. Apparently, brides in the middle ages wore green as their wedding dress as green also symbolizes fertility. Research also shows that something simple as having a green screen saver or background on your computer in the office can calm you and reassure you. Using green around the office can give you a balanced and calm view on things
